About cannAItech

We started cannAItech because we kept having the same conversation. Someone in cannabis would mention a technology problem, whether tracking compliance across three jurisdictions, getting climate systems to talk to each other or figuring out which testing lab could handle their volume. Then someone in technology would describe a tool that already existed in agriculture or pharma, but had never been adapted for cannabis. The two sides were close, but they just weren’t connecting. That’s the gap cannAItech fills.

What We Cover

We write about technology that matters to cannabis operators, the practical kind that reduces paperwork, improves growing consistency, speeds up testing and makes compliance less painful.

Data & Operational Intelligence

ERP platforms, inventory management, demand forecasting. Cannabis businesses generate enormous amounts of data but often lack the infrastructure to use it.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Laboratory instruments, LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) platforms, and analytical methods for potency, contaminants, and quality control.

Market Intelligence

A data-driven look at market trends, pricing, and demand across regulated cannabis markets.

Our Perspective

Operator-first

We measure every story against a simple question: does this help someone make a better decision about cannabis technology? When we profile a company, we ask what their tools do in the real world, not what they could theoretically do in a pitch deck.

Honest about AI

We think most of what gets labeled “AI” in cannabis marketing is pattern matching dressed up to impress investors. We try to tell the difference clearly. When something works, we say so. When it doesn’t, we explain why.

Cross-industry

Cannabis doesn’t need to reinvent compliance technology. Pharma figured out documentation workflows. Dutch greenhouse operators figured out integrated cultivation. Banks figured out identity verification. We cover what already works elsewhere and how it applies here.

Who This Is For

If you run a cannabis operation and you’re trying to figure out which technology investments are worth making, we write for you. If you build technology and you’re evaluating whether cannabis is a viable market, we write for you too. If you invest in cannabis companies and want to know which ones have real technology infrastructure versus a pitch deck with “AI” on every slide, you’ll find our coverage useful.
